EDEN: Learning-Focused App
Context
EDEN AI: Dating Coach is a standalone app within Since Kindly, Inc., which I designed and shipped from scratch — from the initial idea to the full product structure. Unlike Icebreaker, EDEN doesn't generate messages for the user — it teaches the skill, through a course, an AI coach, chat, and profile feedback.
Business Problem
Icebreaker solved the one-off problem — generate a line, right now — but didn't build the underlying skill, so there was no reason to keep coming back.
User Problem
57% of surveyed users rated their own dating-app profile as "okay" or "not good" — the lack of confidence went beyond messaging into dating as a whole.
Process
Surveyed users: how they typically open a conversation, when their last date was, how they rate their profile.
Found the insight: 62% default to a plain "hi," and only 22% call it a struggle. Reframed the goal — not rescuing the people who feel stuck, but raising quality across the board.
Designed the product structure: a learning course, a Coach flow, AI chat, a Rate Me / Share section, and Therapy — a space for harder emotional conversations, somewhere safe to talk.
Prioritized in that order: the course first (teaches directly), then the AI assistant, then everything else.
Shipped it.
Achievements
62% of users open with a plain "hi," and only 22% call it a struggle — pointing at a broad quality problem, not just a rescue mission for people who feel stuck. 57% rate their own profile as "okay" or worse — the case for a dedicated profile-improvement flow.
Outcome
Designed and shipped EDEN, a product grown out of an insight from Icebreaker. All four core flows carry a measurable conversion on real traffic.
